Camel Tea (Toucha) - This tea derives its name from the camels that carried it along the Silk Roads to the Tibetan and Mongolian regions. Toucha are individually wrapped, compressed leaf balls. Gives many infusions. Approximately six balls in one ounce. China, Yunnan Province, Dayeh, Pu-er teas are pressed in small balls or bricks and are individually wrapped. These teas have a very earthy flavor and produce a clear dark brown full bodied brew. Some current scientific studies underline their effectiveness in lowering cholesterol.
